Monday– The Life of the Buddha as seen from the Bertolucci film classic, Little Buddha. Who was the Buddha? Why did he leave his life of luxury? Recall items from the lesson we had last week, Buddhism 101. HW: Bring your novel tomorrow and Wednesday. It is a grade! Also bring a quarter each day to defray beverage costs if you wish to partake.
Tuesday and Wednesday– Book and Beverage day. Having your reading material is a grade! Not only is this time in class a gift, but it is the activity for the day. Bring a quarter for beverages.

Thursday and Friday- Lab 307. Research/website/etc. Bonus points if you turn in the whole thing by 11:59 pm Friday night. For regular points, please have your stuff turned in by 11:59pm on Sunday, 11/30.

Monday– Intro discussion for The Overachievers. What is this school like in terms of expectations? What pressures are there and where do those pressures come from? What stereotypes could we come up with for our students [like the ones Robbins has for her sample students]? HW: Read chapter 2.
Tuesday- HUZZAH! The PAPER HAS BEEN MOVED! Friday is the bonus date, regular is Sunday night Nov 30. 11:59 pm in both cases. Today we are working on our papers with the little laptops in our room. HW: Read ch 2 of Overachievers.
Wednesday- Working on problem/solution papers again in the room with the laptops. HW: ch 3 of Overachievers!
Thursday/Friday- Lab 307 for some real computer time with the problem/solution papers. Bonus points if you turn in Friday night by 11:59pm.
