Monday– Introduce lesson 2 vocab; work on essay graphic organizer. Remember the rough draft is due on 9/11 by 11:59pm to turn it in.com. I will post the information for Turnitin.com next week. Also, please remember to get an autobiography or memoir by Friday. You will need your copy in class that day.
HW: Bring any materials you need to work on your Geography of Bliss project tomorrow. Camera, video camera, interview questions, etc.
Tuesday- WORK DAY! You can work on Geography of Bliss OR your Autobiography Essay. Whatever you need to be productive. We have another work day next tuesday [see the calendar tab at the top]

Wednesday– Listening and reading a chapter from Tina Fey’s Bossypants and looking at how authors use the 29 techniques you will be looking for in your autobiography that you will be reading.
HW: continue to work on your project and essay. Bring anything you need to work on them tomorrow. We have lab time again.
Thursday– WORK DAY in lab 307. Same as Tuesday.
HW: continue to work on your essay and project.
Friday– Book Day w/conferences! Yes, you will be afforded some reading time after I officially begin the parallel reading unit and meanwhile, I will be conferencing with students about their progress with the various LARGE assignments that are due.

Monday– Continue with Othello, Act I. This last scene takes up the entire time.
HW: Please go on to Turnitin.com and review the notes I gave you on your precis. Then either print out a copy or jot some notes down as we will be discussing the article tomorrow. You may want to review the article again.
Tuesday- Discuss the article “Is Google Making us Stupid?” using our precis as a guide. Discuss the Othello Vocab [see the board!]. The unedited lists are on vocabulary.com.
Wednesday– Begin Act 2 of Othello.
Thursday– Finish Act 2 of Othello.
